Who Can Participate?
To be part of this exhilarating contest, participants must adhere to the following eligibility criteria:
- Indian Nationals: All participants must be Indian nationals residing in India.
- QOTY School Contest: Students registering for the QOTY School Contest must be from bona fide schools and studying in classes 9-12 in the academic year 2023-24.
- Access to Devices: Participants must have access to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop/desktop computer with suitable OS and specifications required to download and operate the SonyLIV app, along with a stable internet connection.
- Parental Consent: Parents/legal guardians must read and accept all Terms & Conditions of the contest on behalf of minor contestants to facilitate participation.
Contest Verticals and Structure
The QOTY Quizzer of the Year Contest consists of two main activity verticals: QOTY Open Contest and QOTY School Contest.
QOTY Open Contest
QOTY DAILY (App Quizzes, WebApp):
- Open to all, including students in classes 9 to 12.
- No age limit for participation.
- Individual player participation.
- No participation fee.
QOTY SELECT (App Quizzes, WebApp):
- Students of classes 9-12 scoring a minimum of 500 points in QOTY DAILY quizzes are eligible for QOTY SELECT.
- Requires a participation fee of INR 100.
- Students aged 13-18 years as of 1st April 2023 are eligible.
- Proficiency in English is necessary.
QOTY School Contest
QOTY CITY:
- Top 1,000 participants from each City-Zone qualify for the City-1 round.
- City-2 round involves schools forming teams based on the leaderboard ranking.
- Participation requires consent from parents/guardians for using Kahoot App and Zoom App.
- Participation in City-2 onwards is subject to school principals submitting verified documents.
How to Register?
To register for QOTY Daily, Select, and Specials contest, follow these steps on the SonyLIV app:
- Download the SonyLIV app from the application store.
- Select the ‘Quizzer of the Year’ (QOTY) banner to start registration.
- Register under ‘General’ or ‘Class 9-12 Student’ as applicable.
- Enter your mobile number, personal details, class, school details, etc.
- Complete the registration by reading and accepting the Terms & Conditions.
