About the Contest

The UT Foundation Day Selfie Contest is a unique opportunity for individuals, both amateur and professional photographers, to contribute to a visual journey of growth in Jammu and Kashmir. Eligibility Criteria

The contest is open to all citizens of India, irrespective of age and gender. Both amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to participate and showcase their unique perspectives.

Submission Guidelines

1. Originality: Entries must consist of original pictures that have not been previously released in any medium. Entrants must hold all applicable rights to the submitted images.
2. Exclusivity: Works that have won prizes in other contests or have been submitted to other ongoing contests are not eligible. Entries submitted to other competitions after submission to this contest will also be disqualified.
3. Rights of Persons Depicted: Entrants are responsible for taking all necessary steps to protect the rights of persons depicted in their work. This includes obtaining permission to avoid any infringement of these rights.
4. Legal Issues: Entrants are responsible for resolving any legal issues arising from their submitted works and agree to bear any associated costs.
5. Content Guidelines: Entries that infringe on laws, are defamatory or libelous, encourage criminal behavior, promote commercial products or services, depict harm to animals, or violate copyrights and trademarks will be disqualified.

Guidelines for Selfie Contest

• Image Data: Entries must be created with a device capable of taking still images.
• Retouching: Retouched images using camera apps, photo editing apps, or other software are acceptable.
• Color and Monochrome: Both color and monochrome images will be accepted.
• File Size: Up to 5 MB of image data per work.
• Format: JPEG format with a recommended resolution of 150 dpi or more.
• Language Subtitles: English language subtitles are required for judging.

1. Entries are only accepted through the Jkmygov.in portal.
2. Entering the contest constitutes agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in the entry guidelines.
3. The IT Department reserves the right of final judgment for matters not expressly stated in the entry guidelines.
4. The IT Department will not be responsible for accidents, damage, loss, or other problems occurring during data transfer.
5. Participants are required to obtain prior permission from persons depicted in their works or those holding copyrights. Participants indemnify the organizer from any related complaints or objections.
