A Symphony in Sand: How to Participate
- Event Duration: The festival will span five days, from 1st to 5th December 2023.
- Application Submission: Aspiring participants are required to submit their profiles, highlighting their past work, along with at least three photographs, one of which should be a recent creation. The application deadline is 4th November 2023.
- Selection Process: Selected participants will receive notifications via email, phone, or message.
- Commencement of Artistry: Artists will commence their sand sculpting endeavors on the morning of 1st December 2023, with the festival’s formal inauguration taking place in the evening of the same day.
- Theme Transformations: Sculptors are expected to change their creations daily, aligning them with the themes provided by the organizers.
- Material Constraints: Only sea beach sand is permissible for sculpting, and artists must strictly adhere to the theme and advisory provided by the organizers.
- Artistic Integrity: Sculptures must be made solely from sand and water, with no external materials allowed.
- Disciplinary Guidelines: Artists are expected to respect local sentiments in their attire and behavior, and the organizer reserves the right to disengage any participant not adhering to guidelines.
Terms & Conditions
- Space Allocation: The organizers will provide a space measuring about 30’x30′ with barricades.
- Water Supply: Required water for all sculptures will be supplied.
- Remuneration: Sand artists from Puri will be paid Rs. 7000/- per day without accommodation, while those from outside Puri will receive Rs. 6000/- per day with accommodation provided.
- Travel Assistance: Outstate participants will be given to and fro economy airfare or 3rd AC train fare.
- Local Arrangements: Local transport, schedule, and show timings will be organized by the festival committee.
- Jury Panel: The organizers will constitute a panel of judges, and their decision will be final.
